Building construction and operations generate 40% of global emissions, and as the climate emergency escalates, low-income people and communities of color are disproportionately affected. Less than 1% of developers are Black or Hispanic—despite being 23% of the population. And Black homeownership is at the lowest level we've seen since the 1950s.
