Idea
Develop a business case and feasibility study for the first offshore wind facility of its kind in the United States, positioning Oregon as a key player in the West Coast’s emerging offshore wind ecosystem.
Implementation
Willamette Technical Fabricators plans to build a 515,500 SF sustainable high-tech steel fabrication facility, office, and industrial serving daycare as part of the west coast offshore wind ecosystem, creating 400 full-time new high-wage clean energy manufacturing jobs for Portland.
Results
A Feasibility Study that includes site analysis and constraints, utility access, programming, conceptual design, development costing, economic impacts, funding opportunities, development structure, timeline, and partnerships including with the Port of Portland.
