Anyeley Hallová had a big 2021.

That January, she was elected vice-chair of the Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission, a government group concerned with state land use moves and overseeing the Department of Land Conservation and Development.

"The commission, our staff and our state have benefitted greatly from Vice Chair Hallová's gifts of intellect, commitment to equity and her experience as an innovative developer," DLCD Director Jim Rue said at the time.

Her commission term was slated to conclude at the end of February, but she said it was recently renewed for another four years.

She also left real estate development firm Project^ in 2020, and she founded her own firm. “Our work is what it is because of Anyeley,” Project^ Founder Tom Cody told the Business Journal in late 2020. He said that even though her departure was a loss, “The success of it eclipses the loss of it.”

Her development company, Adre, in July 2021 was revealed to be part of the team that will build the Williams and Russell Project, “a collaborative effort between the community-based Williams & Russell Project Working Group (PWG), Prosper Portland, Portland Housing Bureau, Legacy Health and the City of Portland.” The Williams and Russell Project sits on a little over 1 1/2 acres in a part of the city where local officials decades ago forced the displacement of African American families for the Emanuel Hospital campus expansion.

“It is an incredible privilege to be the chosen development team to advocate for and realize the dreams of Portland’s African American community for the Williams and Russell project, and to lay down a foundation where the community can rebuild and set down roots once again,” Hallová said at the time.
