Heather McGinn-Girón
Development Manager
Heather brings a dual perspective, grounding project delivery in a deep commitment to equitable development, collaborative delivery, and community-centered building solutions.
Heather is a licensed architect in Oregon and one of fewer than 1.5% of Latina registered architects in the United States. Her dual master’s degrees in architecture and real estate development allow her to move seamlessly between design vision and project execution. She strives to celebrate the varied and diverse perspectives of the human experience through the built environment, bringing that belief into every project, from school campuses and workplaces to housing affordability.
Prior to Adre, Heather led Studio Even Odd, an architecture and consulting practice focused on innovative design and policy solutions to the housing affordability crisis in both Los Angeles and the Pacific Northwest.
The six years prior, Heather worked at RIOS in Los Angeles and at Bora Architecture & Interiors in Portland, where her work ranged from ground-up, LEED-certified school campuses for Portland Public Schools and new school campuses for Beaverton School District to bespoke music and performance spaces, workplaces for global brands, and an award-winning, net-zero all-electric food hall, delivering projects from design through construction.
She began her career in art publishing in New York before working as a museum exhibition designer in Los Angeles, and that foundation in narrative and material remains central to her perspective.
She serves on the Urban Land Institute NEXT and Women's Leadership Initiative committees, and in leadership roles with Heidi Duckler Dance Northwest and the National Organization of Minority Architects PDX, including volunteering annually for NOMA PDX's Project Pipeline Summer Camp, empowering middle schoolers to engage with and shape their built environment.
