Portland, OR
2015
Hayashi is a community development consisting of eight contemporary townhomes in Portland’s Humboldt neighborhood.
Overview
Idea
Introduce modern “missing middle” housing to Portland’s for-sale market with a design that blends impeccable craftsmanship with environmental responsibility.
Implementation
The project leverages form and function to shape light-flooded spaces with strong connections to their respective private gardens and urban views.
Results
The project’s three distinct floor plans range from 1,871 to 1,948 square feet, a few of which include an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). The homes sold for $602,000 to $660,000 within 2 months of completion.
