Frewine believes that the institutions of real estate, education, and criminal justice have served as pillars to uphold inequities in our country. She envisions using real estate as a tool to close those gaps, namely the racial wealth gap.
Frewine was raised in Portland, Oregon. Prior to joining Adre, she founded and managed two local businesses that are now running independent of her. She co-founded the consulting firm, The Center for Equity and Inclusion (CEI), who partners with organizations around the country to provide support by refining policies and workplace culture that lead to more equitable outcomes. She has spent nearly a decade coaching executives, developing curriculum, and facilitating training sessions.
It is through her work at CEI that she learned about Commercial Real Estate and discovered that women and people of color were underrepresented in the industry. Frewine became committed to changing that relationship one building at a time. This led her to develop CEI’s award winning brick and mortar headquarters in the Alberta Arts neighborhood.
Frewine recently graduated with a Master of Real Estate Development from Portland State University (PSU) with a focus on real estate valuation, finance, economics, and property management. While there, Frewine published a report on the local retail market, served as co-chair of PSU’s Real Estate Emerging Leaders, and produced a management plan for a local multi-family property.
Frewine currently serves on the Financial Beginnings USA Board, which works to increase the public’s financial literacy. She has served on the design committee for Portland Public Schools’ Center for Black Student Excellence.
