Parrott Creek Child & Family Services, founded over 55 years ago, is a child and family services non-profit providing an array of programs ranging from peer-support through to behavioral health, transitional housing, and intensive residential care. They are committed to providing sector leading individual, group and residential treatment to the dynamic needs of vulnerable children and families.
Parrott Creek owns and operates an 80-acre plot in Clackamas County dedicated to meeting the needs of highly traumatized youth.
Through a multi-phase expansion, Parrott Creek has partnered with Adre to transform their campus from a series of ill-suited ad hoc buildings to a place where the residents can stabilize their lives, develop skills, and foster hope and success. Parrott Creek's vision is to become a regional center of excellence in service to children, youth and families.
The project team incorporated a “trauma-informed design” approach that addresses the relational healing impact between the landscape, spatial design, and the young residents. To further these, Adre worked with the design team to curate three equity-centered studios as a part of the youth outreach activities.
Values: Design Excellence, Educational Advancement, Environmental Stewardship, and Equitable Outcomes.
Uplifting Lives and Creating Futures.
